Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a hospital rehab setting requiring an active SLP license and 1 year of experience.

Details

• Physical Therapy Rehab department in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 32 hours weekly
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
• Active SLP license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification through AHA, not expiring prior to start
• 1 year of experience required, preferably in a medical or clinic setting
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Manual dexterity for use of delicate equipment and frequent computer use
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and acceptable driving record if driving is required

Additional Information

• Provide services to patients with speech and language disorders
• Participate in developing speech therapy plans of care
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points
• Communicate with physicians before and during course of care
• Implement therapy plans of care and adjust as needed
• Educate patients, families, and team members on care plans
• Document care accurately and timely to maintain patient records
• Returning Intermountain staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
