Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care (IMC) Acute Medical/Progressive Care unit setting
• Provide direct patient care in an IMC Thoracic unit setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
• Care for oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient populations
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support and transplant care
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of inpatient acute care experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown within the last three years
• Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in both medical/progressive care and thoracic IMC environments
• Familiarity with pediatric telemetry rhythm interpretation
