Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Weekend rotation required (at least every other weekend)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit with a day shift ratio of 1:5
• Perform and assist with all surgical procedures and post-operative care
• Care for kidney transplant, dialysis, and diabetic patient populations
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team using unit communication tools including i-mobile iPhones and radio headsets
• Collaborate with charge nurses, fellow RNs, and Patient Care Technicians to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• No on-call requirements for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with transplant, dialysis, or diabetic patient populations
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
