Tech IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

The IR-Technologist will perform and assist with a variety of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Execute interventional radiology exams and procedures, including biopsies, embolizations, and catheter placements.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians during procedures such as port placements, IVC filter insertions, chest tubes, and paracentesis.
  
  
• 
  Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring throughout procedures.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, medications, and supplies used.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, including radiation safety and infection control procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active ARRT license and NYS license with injection certification.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related procedures.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in CT and ultrasound-guided biopsies, embolizations, and port placements.
  
  
• 
  Display strong technical skills and attention to detail in performing complex procedures.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current knowledge of radiation safety and infection control standards.
