For approximately 35 hours per week, you'll work closely with a student during an assessment period at the California School for the Blind, ensuring individualized care and advocacy throughout this month-long assignment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare settings preferred
• Background or interest in legal nurse consulting a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in diverse or specialized settings
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to students with unique needs
• CPR Certification

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive, 1:1 care and monitoring to a student during school hours
• Conduct assessments, manage medications, and oversee treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate health documentation in alignment with school and legal requirements
• Serve as a liaison among teachers, parents, and healthcare providers
• Respond to medical emergencies and advocate for student well-being
• Uphold confidentiality and legal standards relevant to student health in an educational environment

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.77 to $55.77. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
