Rope Access RT Technicians - Baytown, TX Job Category: Inspection and NDT services Requisition Number: ROPEA006433 Full-Time On-site Locations Gulf Regional HQ 77571 La Porte, TX 77571, USA MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking certified Rope Access RT Technicians local to the Greater Houston area for full‑time, nested positions to start as soon as possible. Competitive rates and comprehensive benefits. The RT Technician performs NDT operations and evaluates results of NDT tests as certified by Mistras Services written practices to routine NDT methods. Inspects piping, tanks and vessels using the method of Radiography. Level 2 Certification in CR preferred. Rope Access certification required. Major Responsibilities / Activities Train RT assistant, run the film, and grade the film per specific procedures directed by the customer. Set up and calibrate equipment and interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and exercise assigned responsibility for on‑the‑job training and guidance of trainees and NDT level I personnel. Organize and report the results of NDT tests. Generate NDT data, organize data, and report findings. Evaluate data for disposition. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or college credits preferred. Must possess a current ASNT NDE Level II certificate in the NDT method responsible and possess adequate knowledge in the NDE method responsible (RT). Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice. Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines. Proven ability to follow and communicate to subordinates precise directions and procedures of the customer on the project. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to generate technical data orally, in writing, and electronically as required and appropriate. Essential Physical Functions Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs. Equal Opportunity Employer.
