Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in Open Heart procedures is needed for a placement in the Dallas, Texas area. This role involves working in a pediatric cardiac surgical unit with a focus on open heart surgeries for pediatric congenital heart patients. The position offers a 10-hour shift schedule, primarily during day shifts, with call responsibilities that are self-scheduled and rotate weekly. Job Details: Schedule: 10-hour shifts, day shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Candidates must have at least one year of experience, relevant certifications, and education requirements. Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience is preferred, but candidates with operating room experience involving cardiac procedures will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric CVOR, CVOR scrub skills (not mandatory). Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: The unit is a fast-growing pediatric cardiac center located on the third floor of a dedicated pediatric cardiac service line. It has two pediatric CVOR rooms, nine staff members, and works closely with pediatric cath lab, echo teams, and pre/post anesthesia units. The team is highly collaborative and values high performers with strong teamwork skills.
