Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Colorado

Start Date: October 7, 2026

Location: Colorado (Mountain Region)

Schedule: Day Shift, 6:15 AM to 6:45 PM | 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts | 36 guaranteed hours per week

Highlights

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Medical Surgical or Emergency Room experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current Colorado or Compact RN license
• Cerner EHR/EMR experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and evaluation of nursing interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and communicate findings to providers using SBAR format
• Document all care activities in Cerner, including assessments, procedures, and patient education
• Provide age-specific nursing care and patient/family education on disease process, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention practices, patient safety goals, and confidentiality standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
