SAGE Dining Services is hiring a Dishwasher to join our team at a prestigious private day school in Virginia Beach, VA!

Responsibilities:

• Keep dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment clean and ready to use
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly
• Work as part of a supportive and friendly team
• Move quickly and safely in a busy kitchen
• Follow all cleaning and food safety standards
• Help with basic kitchen tasks as needed
• Pick up extra hours during catering events when available
• Enjoy a schedule that follows school hours
• Weekends and major holidays off
• Build valuable experience in a professional food service environment
• Training and support provided

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday
• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Available overtime for catering events with prior notice

Pay Type:

$17.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Tasks:

• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
• Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile!
• Dispose of waste and maintain a clean kitchen, properly washing and sorting soiled utensils, dishes and pots.
• Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure our guests enjoy an exquisite dining experience.
• Set up and break down the dish machine and sanitize equipment in the kitchen.

Requirements:

• Ability to keep all stock areas neat and clean.
• Ability to understand and apply FIFO inventory procedures.
• Prior commercial dishwashing experience preferred, however, we can teach any motivated individual.
• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English accurately.
