Physician - Gastroenterologist

*Physician - Gastroenterologist* *Overton Brooks VA Medical Center Shreveport, LA* Overton Brooks VA Medical Center is recruiting for a full-time Gastroenterologist Physician. This opportunity is a pillar of the institution and boasts a strong clinical and teaching reputation in the region. Shreveport-Bossier boasts elegant Southern charm and a relaxed attitude that suggests you kick your boots off and stay a while to enjoy year-round festivals, Vegas-style gaming, great local dining experiences, live music and family attractions. *Highlights/Requirements* * Starting base salary: $375,000 - $400,000 per year * Daily schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. * Supervise, mentor, and teach graduates including GI fellows and residents. * Responsible for management of diagnostic, preventative, and/or therapeutic gastroenterological and endoscopic services. * Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy, including: bleeding control, polypectomy, EMR, PEGS and dilation. * Work closely with all health professionals throughout the medical center and provide consultation to other services. * Possess basic endoscopic skills and have a background and interest in clinical/research participation. * Current, Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State * Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology * Preferred: The Gastroenterologist (GI) provider will be expected to be proficient in all basic GI endoscopy procedures including EGD and colonoscopy. * *We offer:* * Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Assistance with payment of outstanding medical school loans. * Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) * Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA * CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) * Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting * Possible recruitment or relocation incentives If interested, please email a copy of your current CV to me at [View email address on click.appcast.io](mailto:View email address on click.appcast.io) to schedule a time to discuss this exciting opportunity! *Compensation Information:* $375000.00 / Annually - $400000.00 / Annuallyaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
