Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee - Litholink

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee in Itasca, Illinois to perform laboratory testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality. Full training provided for new graduates with a science degree.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established laboratory criteria
- Execute routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Operate, monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Perform quality control, preventative maintenance and document results
- Prepare and test new reagents or controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Capacity to work varied shifts including evenings and Saturdays
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
Compensation: $23.80 per hour plus shift differential
