HR Manager

Location: Fairfield County, CT

Work Arrangement: On-site

Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 + Bonus

A privately held organization in Fairfield County is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its team. This is a hands-on generalist position offering broad exposure across the HR function and regular interaction with senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional who enjoys variety and is comfortable working in a smaller, collaborative environment. This person should be able to shift priorities, work independently, and step in wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of day-to-day HR responsibilities
• Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and practices
• Handle employee relations matters
• Manage leave administration, FMLA and workers’ compensation
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and HR best practices
• Assist with benefits administration and annual enrollment
• Maintain employee information within the HRIS
• Prepare HR reports and analyze data using Excel
• Partner closely with senior leadership
• Support additional HR projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• 10+ years of corporate HR experience
• Strong HR generalist background
• Experience with employee relations, HR compliance, FMLA and workers’ compensation
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Experience working with HRIS platforms
• Strong Excel and reporting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree required
