Join us in taking this step forward and become a valued co-owner of RJW. Job Purpose Position reports to the Warehouse Manager. Supervise warehouse operations as required. Communicate transitions from night shift to day shift. Manage staff assigned to shift including performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Oversee supervision of all computer entry work and paperwork flow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assign work for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, considering customer specifications and scheduling deliveries to meet this schedule. Oversee loading of inbound/outbound freight according to customer specifications. Supervise Local, Regional, and OTR drivers; communicate updates and workflow changes. Review deliveries for poor packing and general conditions of materials. Escalate to Customer Service, Warehouse Manager, or COO as needed with clear information or photos. Oversee processing of shipment paperwork, including scanning BOLs. Verify shipments against paperwork for incoming/outgoing deliveries. Monitor quality and accuracy of shipments per customer specifications. Ensure department staff meets customer requirements and that changes are communicated and trained. Update Tee Card board and TMW system. Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries; implement required actions. Communicate via email before the end of each shift to ensure smooth transition of daily workflow and address issues. Ensure safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors per OSHA and RJW policies. Oversee completion of all computer data entry and accuracy. Maintain and approve shift timesheets for weekly payroll, including temp hours; make corrections as needed. Monitor overtime to meet department requirements; perform building checks and coordinate maintenance as needed. Ensure adherence to AIB processes and training for handling food products where applicable. Complete checklists for building, equipment, and safety; issue corrective actions or work orders as needed. Handle accident reporting and notification of HR/management for emergencies. Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager or COO. Additional Responsibilities Efficiency management Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop associates Strong core values aligned with RJW; emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction Process-improvement orientation; adaptable to a fast-paced environment Proficient computer and data-entry skills Interpersonal skills; good judgment Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of warehouse supervisory/managerial experience Effective communication in English (reading, writing, speaking) Dispatch and dock supervision experience Familiarity with SmartTurn or TMW software is a plus Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements Education and/or Experience Required Minimum high school diploma or GED; some college preferred Physical Demands Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds Ability to activate phone systems and communicate clearly Indoor/warehouse environment; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, or kneel Ability to work extended hours when needed; excellent vision and hearing requirements Work Environment Exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
