Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

provides physical therapy services to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Services are provided in accordance with physician orders, the established plan of care, and applicable state and federal requirements. Why join our team:

Provide physical therapy services as directed by the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the established plan of care.

Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, functional activities, and other interventions within the PTA’s scope of practice.

Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence within their capabilities.

Observe and document patients’ responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and other members of the home health care team to support coordinated patient care.

Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and other activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.

Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely in accordance with agency policies and applicable requirements.

What we’re looking for:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant education program.

Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification, as required by the state in which practicing.

Experience in home health or a related clinical setting preferred.

Ability to work effectively under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.

Knowledge of applicable home health documentation requirements and standards.
