Job Description

The Patient Care Assistant works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient's charts and other necessities.

Work Schedule: 28 hrs weekly/ 0.7 FTE; Evenings 3pm-11:30pm, with every other weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have one of the following:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
• Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered
• Valid BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNA experience
• HUC or unit clerk experience
• Microsoft office experience
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
