Make a meaningful impact as a School Psychologist working on a contract basis near Des Plaines, IL. In this pivotal role, you’ll support students, collaborate with staff, and help foster a positive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education law
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and staff
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently in a school setting
- Prior experience as a School Psychologist preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
- Interpret assessment results and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Offer consultation regarding behavior management and instructional strategies
- Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary reports in compliance with regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to plan interventions
