Your Next Opportunity.Sunshine Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a customer-facing service role for a technician who can confidently troubleshoot residential heating and cooling equipment, identify the problem, explain the solution, and complete quality repairs.We currently have opportunities at both our Belleview and Clermont/Groveland locations. We want a technician who takes ownership of the customer experience and consistently shows up ready to do quality work.You should be someone who demonstrates:Strong attendance and reliabilityInitiative and a willingness to take ownershipA hardworking, motivated approachProfessional communication with homeowners and coworkersPatience, compassion, and empathy when working with customersAttention to detail and good diagnostic judgmentA commitment to safe work practicesResponsibilitiesYou 'll be responsible for diagnosing and servicing a broad range of residential HVAC systems. Key responsibilities include:Troubleshoot heating and cooling systems to determine the cause of equipment failuresPerform necessary repairs accurately and efficientlyExplain system issues and recommended repairs clearly to customersComplete service calls while maintaining a high standard of workmanshipDocument customer interactions, findings, and completed workKeep your assigned vehicle stocked with necessary parts and suppliesMaintain your tools and equipmentFollow all company safety proceduresCommunicate effectively with both customers and the Sunshine Air Conditioning teamWhat You'll NeedRequired:Previous hands-on experience servicing residential HVAC systemsUniversal EPA or Type II certificationStrong working knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systemsValid driver's license and insurable driving recordAbility to safely use hand and power toolsAbility to work from ladders up to 12 feetAbility to work in varying weather conditions and extreme temperaturesStrong verbal and written communication skillsCustomer service mindsetBasic HVAC service toolsPreferred:HVAC technical school completionKnowledge of applicable local codes and ordinancesNATE certification or willingness to obtain itWhy Sunshine Air Conditioning?Sunshine is a family-oriented company that believes experienced technicians should have the resources and support they need to succeed.
