HVAC Service TechnicianAlliance Group is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician based out of our North Clarendon, VT operations center. This is a field-based position responsible for the routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of residential and commercial HVAC and related mechanical systems. This includes mini splits, boilers, refrigeration systems, oil and propane burner systems, chillers, package rooftops, and more. This individual will also participate in the rotational on-call schedule, which includes being on-call for one week at a time. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and high-level customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesRole-Specific Duties:Determine diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations for HVAC/R systemsSafely perform and document scheduled preventive maintenance routines.Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.Organization-Specific Duties:Provide exceptional customer service by communicating and fully explaining current issues, timelines, and resolutions to customers when appropriate.Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company work vehicle.Essential Qualifications and CompetenciesRole-Specific:3 - 5 years of HVAC experience required (residential OR commercial - we will train!)NH and/or VT Gas license preferredEPA Certification preferredAdditional certifications such as S-Electrical, and NORA Oil are a plus.Organization-Specific:Strong interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work efficiently.High level of reliability, follow-through, discretion and integrity.Proactive, positive problem-solving skills.Must maintain a company vehicle.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basisMust be able to climb up and down Scaffolding, Ladders, Stairs as job requires.U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatoryApplicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.A background verification and motor vehicle check will be required.A pre-employment post-offer Human Performance Examination is required for this position.BenefitsCompetitive payComprehensive health insurance (including dental and vision)Health Saving Account with company contributionPaid Life InsuranceOther voluntary insurance options401(k) plan with company matchingGenerous paid time offPaid HolidaysAnnual Bonus OpportunityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional development assistanceEmployee discountCompany ApparelAbout Alliance GroupAlliance Group Services, LLC is a premier provider of building automation and mechanical contracting services in New England.
