Physician Opening – San Diego, California Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group / Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Pediatric Hospitalist Position Details Responsible for newborn rounding, all calls from nurses, and consults at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns, a 206‑bed, not‑for‑profit facility with a Level III NICU and the highest volume of births in California. Hospital shifts: 7 am–5 pm (staggered start 7 am or 8 am) for 4 shifts per week; 2 weekend days per month; night call from home (1 night out of 25). Average 19.5 babies per shift (minimum census 5 babies). Occasional virtual pediatric care appointments and after‑hour shifts at Sorrento Mesa, Otay Ranch, Santee, or Rancho Bernardo. Salary range: $230,000–$315,000+ (may include productivity bonuses; compensation subject to department plans). Sign‑on bonus.
