Details Work in the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) of a hospital environment Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-operative neurosurgical needs, as well as nerve and muscle diseases Patients require care providers to manage the interface between the brain and other vital organ systems Rotating 7A/7P shift schedule 36 or 48 hours per week Required to work 3 of every 6 weekends On-call requirement of 2 shifts per 6-week schedule Holiday coverage required as needed Floating required as needed to areas of like skill set, including ICU and IMC Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license (MD or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS certification required ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course preferred Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required Epic EMR experience required Comparable large facility size experience required (500 bed facility experience) Additional Information Provide specialized post-operative neurosurgical care to neurologically complex patients Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month Local candidates accepted at the same rate Strong candidates preferred given the high acuity and complexity of this main hospital setting American Traveler Job ID P-742658.
