Physical Therapist - PRN

IMC is currently looking to hire a Physical Therapist on a PRN basis. ThePhysical Therapist will evaluate patientneeds, develop appropriate treatment plans, be responsible for organizing andconducting medically necessary physical therapy to restore function , preventdisability, decrease pain, and promote healing following disease, injury orsickness. The physical therapist willhelp the patient reach his/her maximum potential and assume a place in societywhile learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. This will be done in a variety of settingsincluding home health, outpatient, and inpatient. The therapist will need knowledge andcompetency to provide care based on physical, psycho-social, education level,and safety concerns for neonate, infant, toddler, adolescent, adult andgeriatric populations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/LICENSURE:

Minimum of a baccalaureate degree inphysical therapy from an approved school.
Current valid Physical Therapy Licensein Louisiana, or a temporary permit granted by LSBPTE.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Successful completion of long termclinical rotations in inpatient and outpatient environments from an accredited PT school, or one year ofrecent experience in inpatient or outpatient practice.

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluate patients
Treat patients
Monitor and assess patients
Supervise delivery of treatment topatients
Reassess patients
Assist director of rehab withdevelopment of policies and procedures
Assist with scheduling of patients
Documentation of patient care
Assist with daily operations ofoutpatient and inpatient rehab services
