Senior Field Service Technician

Job Description: Delivering high-quality technical support and service to our customers. Performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Ensuring safety and compliance by following all ABB HSE, ABB Way, Safety Manual, and product warranty policies while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety standards and procedures. Performing hands‑on project work—including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, design, and repair—across power delivery equipment while continually developing technical and industry knowledge. Contributing to improving installation and field service standards, adhering to engineering procedures, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction in all interactions. Completing required technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, time and expense reports, and exercising sound judgment in controlling costs and maintaining company assets. Requirements: High School Diploma with a minimum of 8 years of engineering / field experience. Additional formal education may substitute for required experience on a year‑for‑year basis. Technical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery to include Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers. Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70+% as required. Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
