Position Summary

Golden Crest Nursing Centre is seeking compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide evaluation, assessment, and treatment services to residents in our skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation facility, helping them achieve their highest level of communication, cognitive-linguistic function, and swallowing safety.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide skilled speech-language pathology services in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.
• Assess and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to maximize resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy team members, residents, and families.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Educate residents, families, and staff regarding communication and swallowing strategies.

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Current Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist License in good standing.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility to obtain.
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation setting.
• Excellent communication, clinical, and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or subacute rehabilitation.
• CPR certification.
