Maintenance Technician

Mechanical TechnicianNovelis – Guthrie, KY is seeking a Mechanical Technician for our green field startup in Guthrie, KY. The Mechanical Technician will play a critical role in improving the reliability of our heavy electro-mechanical equipment. Working in conjunction with operations and other maintenance employees, assisting in troubleshooting systems, coordinating project work, and maintaining equipment functionality. Technicians report to the Maintenance Leader.Normal Work ScheduleTechnicians might work a variety of schedules over time. Technicians on-shift will work rotating 12 hour shifts throughout the month. Mechanics on the day crew are scheduled for 8-hour days 5 days a week. Depending on breakdowns, outages or special projects overtime will be required.ResponsibilitiesComplete work in a safe, timely, professional manner.Analyze production process or part problems and work to devise and implement solutions and improvements.Complete PMs as assigned and documenting in CMMS or other business system tool.Troubleshoot and improve electro-mechanical systems.Oversee projects from scope of work through implementation.Document activities in the CMMS and/or other business system tools.Mentor other craftspeopleAdhere to and support company quality, environmental, health & safety, and certification standards, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 450001:2018, IATF 16949:2016, and ASI Certifications, where applicable.QualificationsCompleted High School or GED.
