Appliance Repair Technician – Boston, MA (Residential & Commercial)

$30–$40/hr + Performance Bonuses
Company Vehicle Provided
Full-Time | Year-Round Work

We are working with a growing appliance repair company in the Boston area seeking an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in quality work, can operate independently in the field, and communicates professionally with customers.

The company services both residential and commercial appliances, offering a steady flow of varied and technical work in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and commercial appliances in the field
• Troubleshoot refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, ovens, ranges, washers, dryers, and dishwashers
• Perform sealed system and refrigeration repairs including compressors and refrigerant-related work
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues
• Communicate findings and repair options clearly with customers
• Complete service documentation, parts usage, and job notes using mobile software
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service vehicle
• Deliver high-quality workmanship while representing the company professionally

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of appliance repair or related field service experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills (ability to think through problems, not just replace parts)
• Experience with residential and/or commercial appliances
• Hands-on refrigeration experience strongly preferred (sealed system experience a plus)
• EPA 608 Certification preferred
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical service manuals
• Strong customer communication and professionalism
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
