The Software Engineer Principal Sr will be based in Dallas, TX and will provide senior engineering leadership across multiple Agile crews delivering enterprise Pega solutions. Core Management Responsibilities Manage multiple development crews and complex Pega delivery initiatives across a major business segment Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for Pega engineers and technical leads Ensure predictable delivery through effective planning, staffing, and dependency management Partner with product, architecture, risk, and operations stakeholders to align Pega solutions to business goals Ensure compliance with PNC enterprise risk management, security, and regulatory standards Own Pega engineering quality, delivery metrics, and continuous improvement across teams Drive adoption of standard SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices within the Pega platform Job Description Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions across multiple product lines. Direct and consult on all phases of the software engineering life cycle and troubleshoot technical problems as needed using agile methods. Lead complex problem solving and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization. Monitor security technology trends and ensure adaptability across system architectures. Encourage sound technology choices and drive innovative technology architecture and solution design. Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development. Qualifications Preferred Skills: Application Development, Business Management, Customer Solutions, Design, Full Stack Development, Group Problem Solving, Pega Architecture, Process Improvements, Release Management, Software Solutions, User Experience (UX) Design Competencies: Application Design, Architecture, Coaching Others, Design Thinking, IT Environment, Problem Solving, Software Process Improvement (SPI), System Development Life Cycle, Technical Troubleshooting Work Experience: 8+ years in related industry; roles at this level typically require a university or college degree. Higher level education such as a Master’s or PhD, or relevant certifications, is desirable. Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Certifications: None required.
