Human Resources Manager -- Industrial Manufacturing (36512)

Job Description

An international manufacturing company in the Bardstown, KY area is looking for a Human Resources Manager who will provide leadership, direction and management for the department. In this role, the HR Manager will be responsible for recruiting, company policies, compensation, benefits, training, performance management, etc. This position requires at least 5 years of management experience as well as a minimum of 10 years of human resources experience.

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401 (K), paid holidays & vacation.

Our client strongly prefers previous HR leadership experience in manufacturing.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Develop new HR programs for employees, and manage compliance with labor laws
\n
• Conduct HR meetings on how to implement new initiatives
\n
• Oversee scheduling and conducting of interviews with applicants
\n
• Make hiring decisions after completion of interviews and reviews of candidates
\n
• Create new on-boarding programs to implement for new hires
\n
• Oversee payroll processing, benefits, vacation, attendance, FMLA, workers compensation, and other HR functions
\n
• Implement company 401K program
\n
• Oversee worker’s compensation, safety training, manage all unemployment claims, team member disciplinary issues, HR and Labor Law, COBRA, new hire orientation

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field required
\n
• Master’s degree is a big plus
\n
• Minimum of 10 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
\n
• Existing knowledge of labor laws and managing HR functions
\n
• Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in Kentucky and the United States
\n
• Capable of leading others
\n
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
\n
• Ability to take on multiple tasks
\n
• Excellent communication skills (speaking, reading, writing)
\n
