Below is a breakdown of the key responsibilities and expectations for this role: Job Overview : Primary Responsibilities : Handling, preparing, cooking, and serving food. Catering to regular, modified, and special dietary needs. Sanitation : Ensuring all work, preparation, and serving areas are kept clean and sanitary. Key Qualities for Applicants : Understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols. Ability to accommodate dietary modifications (e.g., special diets for medical or health conditions). Strong organizational skills to manage multiple food preparation and serving tasks efficiently. Job Type/Salary: This is a full-time, shift position. Shifts are 8 hours in duration. Both Saturday’s and Sunday’s are REQUIREDfor this position. Pay : Level I: $14.66/hourly Level II: $15.63/hourly Benefits Allowance, earn 15 days sick AND 15 days annual leave per year, up to 7% 401k match Scheduled days: Varies - 8-hour shifts / 5 days a week (40-hour workweeks) This position is non-exempt. Posted until filled Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Level I: No experience required. Level II: one year of experience in a commercial or institutional food service or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of vocational or technical school training in food preparation for the required experience. Special Requirements: Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of lifting/carrying 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently and able to push and pull a maximum force of 50 pounds.
