Make a meaningful impact supporting students in an educational setting through a contract social work opportunity based near Pittsford, NY. Two full-time social workers are needed for a school-based assignment, starting September 8, 2026, at an in-person location in the area. These positions will continue on a contract basis until the school fills them internally. The specific caseload and working hours will be defined at the end of August.

Essential qualifications:

• Active NYS School Social Worker certification required
• LMSW or LCSW license in New York State required
• Experience working with children or within school settings strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, crisis intervention, and advocacy skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources
• Professional demeanor and adaptability in fast-paced, changing environments

Key responsibilities:

• Provide social, emotional, and mental health support to students
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
• Assess student needs and develop plans in collaboration with educational staff
• Serve as liaison between students, their families, and external agencies
• Support intervention efforts, crisis resolution, and prevention programs
• Maintain timely and confidential documentation
