Job Description
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing care to patients in a telemetry unit, particularly those with orthopedic and general surgical needs.

Job Details

Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience Required: 2 years
Required Certifications: BLS (AHA)

Unit Information

Unit Type: Telemetry/Ortho
Bed Capacity: 34 beds
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:5
Common Diagnoses: Total joints, cardiac rule out, pneumonia, psychiatric illnesses, general surgery post-operative care

Essential Skills

Experience in administering and titrating drips such as heparin (weight-based)
Ability to manage medications including Nitro and Insulin
Proficiency in reading telemetry strips
Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow oxygen therapy

Additional Information

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Rotate as needed
Floating Requirements: May float to Med Tele, PCU, or ICU for MedSurg acuity patients or ER holding
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color professional scrubs
Orientation: Unit-specific orientation, with the opportunity to test out of Epic if experienced
