The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the impact of evolving accounting standards, coordinating the implementation of new pronouncements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP requirements. This role involves working cross-functionally with various stakeholders, including business, finance, legal, tax, operations, and treasury, to document and communicate accounting and reporting implications. The AVP will also lead the review of financial statements, assist in the development of training on technical topics, and maintain strong relationships with key business decision-makers. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, and a CPA with at least 6 years' of experience, including a background in public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 firm. The role requires excellent accounting research and analytical skills, a strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines. The ideal candidate will be independent, motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication, teamwork, and relationship management skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to make data-driven decisions are also essential.
