Work Environment
In this remote setting, you will be part of a dedicated and collaborative team of mental health professionals. Our outpatient office provides an accessible platform for clients to receive care from the comfort of their own homes, reflecting our commitment to removing barriers to mental health support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients and gain insights into their life circumstances.
- Collaboratively developing personalized treatment plans based on client assessments, focusing on their strengths and areas for growth.
- Delivering individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s needs.
- Monitoring and documenting clients’ progress, adjusting treatment strategies and goals as necessary to promote effective outcomes.
- Coordinating care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to ensure comprehensive treatment and support for clients.
- Providing educational resources and support to clients' families, enhancing their understanding of the treatment process and encouraging their involvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will be working with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families dealing with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. This role requires cultural sensitivity and the ability to connect with clients from different backgrounds, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs.
Qualifications
- A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
- A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated training or experience in mental health counseling with a focus on therapeutic techniques appropriate for individuals of all ages.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients and their families.
- A commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality in all counseling interactions.
Preferred Experience
While not required, experience in a clinical environment providing therapy or counseling services is preferred. Specialized training in specific therapeutic techniques or certifications will be viewed favorably. Proven experience in developing treatment plans and case documentation will further strengthen your application.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $52,000 to $100,000 annually based on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
