Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiac Catheterization Lab Location: Placerville, CA Agency: Prime Staffing Pay: $3,086 per week Shift: Days – 5 days x 8 hours (06:45 – 15:15) Contract: 13 Weeks Start Date: 7/8/2026 Overview Seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to perform a full range of cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, including diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, IABP placement/removal, and related interventional procedures. The RN will also provide procedural sedation, infection prevention, and related acute care duties in a 1‑bed cath lab setting. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic catheterizations and interventional cardiac procedures as indicated. Conduct electrophysiology (EP) laboratory procedures and diagnostic catheters. Handle arrhythmia management, including antiarrhythmics, cardioversion, and defibrillator lead extraction. Administer and monitor procedural sedation, including reversal agents. Obtain and interpret 12‑lead EKG/ECG, manage acute stress tests, and participate in cardiac rehab calls. Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation precautions (PPE). Support machine setup, catheter removal, sheath handling, and laser/radiation safety. Document scopes of practice accurately using Epic charting system. Assist with device implantations and removals (pacemaker, ICD, loop recorder, BiV, CardioMEMS). Provide peri‑procedure monitoring and post‑procedure patient assessment. Qualifications RN license in California, in good standing. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology Lab. Certification in ACLS required; additional advanced cardiac life support or electrophysiology certification a plus. Proficient in Epic charting system and facility protocols. Strong knowledge of procedural sedation, antiarrhythmic protocols, and radiation safety. Ability to work a 5‑day, 8‑hour day shift schedule. Prepared to travel to the Placerville, CA location and submit RTO documentation promptly. Compensation & Benefits Weekly pay of $3,086, with guaranteed hours for the 13‑week contract.
