Maintenance Technician

Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Job title: Maintenance Technician-Class A Commercial High Rise Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join the team at a Class A commercial high-rise in New Orleans. This role supports the day-to-day maintenance and overall appearance of the building while working alongside a team of licensed building engineers. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong general maintenance experience who takes pride in their work and understands the expectations of a professional office environment. Responsibilities:

• Complete daily maintenance tasks and work orders throughout the building
• Perform general repairs including painting (including clean, professional finish work) and sheetrock/drywall repair and patching
• Perform minor electrical repairs (lighting, outlets, switches) and minor plumbing (fixtures, leaks, clogs)
• Maintain common areas and tenant areas to Class A standards (clean, presentable, and well-kept)
• Assist building engineers with preventative maintenance and building systems
• Identify issues and report larger repairs to engineering team
• Interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and management

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of maintenance experience (commercial preferred)
• Experience with painting and sheetrock/drywall repair required
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
