Job Description
Garfield Park Academy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our high school team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs.
About the Role
Design and deliever individualized instruction that supports students' academic, social, and emotional growth within a structured, inclusive classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student goals
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment
Monitor progress and maintain documentation
Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary staff
Qualifications
New Jersey Teacher Certification in English, Math, Science and/or History is required
Special Education Certification and High School experience preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Team-oriented with a commitment to inclusive education
