Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU Location: Kentucky Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM ⏰ Schedule: 84 Hours Every Two Weeks (One Week: 3x12 | Next Week: 4x12) Job Overview We're looking for an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity cardiovascular critical care team. Candidates must have recent CVICU experience and be comfortable caring for fresh open-heart patients. Position Highlights CVICU 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) 13-week travel contract Meditech EMR Float within scope of practice as needed Every other weekend required Minimum Requirements 2 years of recent CVICU experience Fresh heart/Open Heart recovery experience required Active Kentucky RN License or Compact RN License AHA BLS Certification AHA ACLS Certification NIHSS Certification Meditech experience preferred Must live 75 miles from the facility (local candidates are not eligible) Important Information Alternating schedule of 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next (84 hours every two weeks). Block scheduling is not available . Up to 7 days of requested time off may be considered if submitted before the offer. Travelers must be available to work either a major or minor holiday if scheduled. Two professional references are required (one Charge RN or higher and one Supervisor, both completed within the last year). Valid driver's license, active RN license, and all required certifications must be included with the submission. Why Apply?
