Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges of children and adolescents seeking care.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate individual therapy sessions addressing a variety of mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions designed to involve parents and caregivers actively in their child's treatment and promote healthy family dynamics.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists, educational professionals, and community resources to provide a holistic, comprehensive approach to care.

• Respond to mental health emergencies with crisis intervention strategies that stabilize young clients and provide immediate support.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their care.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Engage in regular team meetings and professional development workshops to continually refine therapeutic skills and stay current with advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position involves working primarily with children and adolescents experiencing complex mental health challenges. You will support clients aged 5 to 18 as they navigate conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues, providing both short- and long-term therapeutic strategies aimed at fostering resilience and healthy coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Three or more years of relevant professional experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in a clinical setting.

• Strong familiarity with therapeutic modalities relevant to child and adolescent populations.
