With a strong reputation for technical expertise and dependable service, we're looking to expand our team in Garden City, GA with a dedicated Utility Technician.
Position Overview
We're seeking a reliable and hardworking Utility Technician to support day-to-day operations in our service and repair facility. This entry-level to mid-level role offers hands-on experience in an industrial environment, assisting technicians and shop personnel in maintaining a safe, clean, and productive workspace.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, has strong attention to detail, and is looking to grow within the industrial service field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning and preparing electric motors, pumps, and equipment for service or repair
- Help with loading/unloading equipment and organizing tools or parts
- Perform general shop maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Support service technicians with basic mechanical tasks (e.g., disassembly, degreasing, transporting parts)
- Deliver parts or equipment to vendors/customers as needed
- Perform inventory checks and help organize stock or incoming shipments
- Follow all safety protocols and report any equipment or safety issues to management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn on the job
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to grow into a skilled technician role over time
