Key Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama SLP license (ABESPA and/or AL SLP DOE certifications needed; can begin with one and obtain the other during assignment)
• SLP-CCC credential required
• Prior experience providing speech and language services in K-12 school settings preferred
• Deep understanding of treatment plans, progress monitoring, and IEP processes
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Dedication to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in 3rd–6th grade
• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on each student's unique needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress, and outcomes
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies throughout the school day
• Conduct evaluations and ongoing assessments to inform therapy and support student growth
• Educate staff and parents on best communication practices and promote awareness for speech-language development
