New York Licensed Liability Specialist

Handling complex Home and Auto liability claims remotely, the New York Licensed Liability Specialist will conduct investigations, evaluate coverage and liability, and negotiate resolutions while providing technical guidance to less experienced staff. Key responsibilities Conduct investigations and evaluate coverage and liability for claims Negotiate with all parties involved within designated authority Document claims files and submit reports, identifying subrogation opportunities Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with five years of claims-related experience, or an Associate degree with three years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with one year of experience Working knowledge of liability coverages, laws, injury evaluation, and claim documentation Preferred designations include Associate in Claims (AIC) or Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA) Appropriate state license(s) as required, with the ability to secure and maintain multiple licenses Willingness to travel for training as needed
