Advanced LPN - Senior Care | IV Therapy Certified

This full-time day position offers the opportunity to support physicians and mid-level providers by delivering assessments, treatments, testing, and patient education in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling.
• Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed.
• Assist providers during procedures, maintain sterile fields, and manage instrument trays.
• Support examinations within the scope of licensure and perform phone triage.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, communicating test results and addressing patient inquiries.
• Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs and measurements precisely.
• Manage and update patient medication lists and summaries.
• Conduct point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered.
• Educate patients and guardians about electronic health record portals and encourage enrollment.
• Provide patient teaching and supportive services as needed.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including obtaining necessary precertifications and authorizations.
• Train Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants in clinic roles.
• Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, teamwork, and maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

Education

Graduation from an accredited LPN program and completion of an approved IV therapy course are required.

Experience

Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications and Licenses

Must hold a current LPN license valid in the regional state. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This role demands considerable mental focus and physical activity, including lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases, as well as occasional encounters with hostile individuals, may occur. Minimal physical discomfort is expected.
