Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Labor and Delivery (L&D) to provide exceptional care for patients in the postpartum and nursery settings. The ideal candidate will display a strong understanding of maternal and neonatal care and possess current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and well baby settings.
• Administer medications and manage IVs as needed.
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal and cesarean births.
• Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Epic electronic medical record system.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current RN license to practice in the state.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required; AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records is required.
