General Manager — Escapology at The Bloc Downtown Los Angeles, CA | Full-Time Do you have experience leading exceptional guest experiences in restaurants or high-touch service environments? Escapology, the world’s premier escape room company, is seeking a General Manager for our venue at The Bloc in Downtown Los Angeles. The Opportunity As General Manager, you will lead every aspect of venue operations at The Bloc, in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. You will build and develop a high-performing team, deliver outstanding guest experiences, and drive operational and financial results through hands-on leadership. What You’ll Do Operational Excellence Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring the venue is clean, safe, well-maintained, and ready for every guest. Execute operational policies and procedures that improve efficiency, service quality, and consistency. Oversee game readiness and facilities maintenance, coordinating repairs and resolving operational issues promptly. Guest Experience & Customer Service Create a five-star guest experience that drives positive reviews, referrals, and repeat visits. Coach your team to deliver welcoming, engaging service throughout the guest journey. Proactively address guest feedback and resolve concerns with professionalism and care. Team Leadership & Staff Management Recruit, train, develop, and coach a team committed to exceptional hospitality. Manage scheduling, staffing, and performance to support peak periods, seasonal demand, and special events. Build a fun, inclusive culture with clear expectations, accountability, and ongoing development. Financial & Administrative Management Monitor revenue, labor, and expenses to achieve financial goals. Analyze performance metrics and turn insights into practical action. Maintain accurate reporting, records, and administrative processes across booking, scheduling, and HR systems. What We’re Looking For Management Experience: At least four years of management experience in restaurants or another guest-focused service environment, with a track record of leading high-energy operations. Operational Strength: Experience managing staffing, scheduling, daily operations, and facilities maintenance. Guest Service Mindset: A commitment to creating memorable experiences, supported by strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proactive Leadership: The ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Team Development: A collaborative approach to inspiring, coaching, and holding a diverse team accountable. Hands-On Approach: Willingness to work alongside your team and stay engaged in the details that make every visit successful. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $72,000–$78,000 annually , depending on experience. Additional monthly bonus potential. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), and more.
