This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission , with estimated first-year total earnings of $85,000–$110,000+ , depending on sales performance, experience, territory development, and product knowledge.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and grow new business throughout the assigned Los Angeles/Riverside territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Identify customer power needs and recommend the right equipment and solutions
• Sell and promote Caterpillar power generation products and solutions
• Prospect for new customers through field visits, networking, referrals, and business development
• Manage your territory strategically to maximize sales opportunities
• Prepare proposals, follow up on leads, negotiate opportunities, and close business
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate customer information in CRM systems
• Partner with internal teams to provide customers with an exceptional experience
• Stay informed on market activity, competitors, customer needs, and industry trends
• Consistently work toward individual sales and revenue goals

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of commissioned field sales experience
• Proven ability to prospect, develop accounts, and build customer relationships
• College degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Technical knowledge of Caterpillar, power generation, industrial equipment, commercial equipment, or a comparable product line preferred
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field sales environment
• Strong organizational and territory-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn and utilize internal business and CRM systems
• Valid California driver’s license in good standing
