• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice/Home Care
• Location: Menominee, MI 49858
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-Call Requirement: Every other weekend plus 2–3 days during the week
• Patient Volume: Approximately 5–6 patients per day
• Setting: Hospice / Home Care
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Travel Area: Menominee County

Job Requirements

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Prior hospice nursing or home health experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and care coordination skills
• Ability to work independently in home-based patient care environments
• Experience with clinical documentation and EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-of-life care for terminally ill patients in home or residential settings
• Serve as the primary liaison between families, physicians, and the hospice care team
• Assess patient needs and manage pain and symptom control
• Complete initial and ongoing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments
• Develop and carry out individualized care plans focused on comfort and dignity
• Educate caregivers on patient care, disease progression, and the grieving process
• Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records
• Communicate patient status changes to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to review and adjust care plans
• Support patients and families with professionalism, empathy, and clinical expertise
