Qualifications for this role include a strong desire to learn and collaborate with fellow team members and a steadfast commitment to personal accountability. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. While experience operating heavy equipment is preferred, it's not a deal-breaker - we're dedicated to providing training and support to help you succeed. Responsibilities: Road Specialist I- Contribute to all facets of road construction and maintenance activities to uphold the safety and quality of County Roads.
- Work on maintenance of street signs, sidewalks, pothole repair and patching, storm drain and culvert cleaning, crack sealing asphalt, flagging, and other duties
- Specialist with a CDL uses/operates heavy equipment including loaders, graders, track hoes, backhoes, bulldozers, street sweepers, and large trucks to haul heavy equipment. Also plows snow, grades gravel roads, installs chip seal, and does overlay with a paver.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate with peers.
- Strong commitment to personal accountability.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred: One year of experience operating heavy equipment but not required.
- Able to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License within six months
