Position Title: Quality Assurance Tech

Wage: $20.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm (Flexible Hours, Overtime as Needed)

Quality Assurance Tech Responsibilities:
- Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance to company standards and policies, effectively communicating deviations from standards or processes
- Maintain a clear understanding of customer requirements
- Maintain a clear understanding of Quality Assurance Programs and SOPs
- Adhere to all regulatory rules and regulations, ensuring that Food Safety and product performance standards are met
- Monitor HACCP critical control points (Product wash and Metal Detection)
- Run GMP Inspections
- Control and enforce GMPs on Production and Storage areas
- Calibrate test equipment such as scales, thermometers, metal detector, pH meter and colorimeter
- Maintain equipment in optimal condition and report any deviation to supervisor
- Place equipment and product on hold
- Control the concentrations of the chemicals and sanitizers
- Verify chemical concentrations (titrations) on a weekly basis
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections and pre-op ATP testing
- Conduct leak detecting checks for each type of polybag
- Test finished products moisture content
- Perform temperature controls of rooms and ingredients
- Monitor and ensure compliance of allergen management
- Schedule and execute sample submittals to external laboratory vendor
- Maintain accurate and organized records of QA activities following document control program
- Enforce color coding policy

Requirements for Quality Assurance Tech:
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus
- Able to work in cold environment, maintained between 32F and 37F
