Essential Functions: Prepare aircraft parts and assemblies for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation. Mix primers, sealants, and topcoats according to engineering specifications and manufacturer requirements. Apply primers, coatings, and finish paints using conventional and specialized spray equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and planning documents. Match paint colors and finishes to required specifications while ensuring coating consistency and quality. Perform paint touch-ups, rework, and repairs as required. Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment to verify coating thickness and quality standards. Maintain paint booths, spray guns, and related equipment to ensure proper operation. Handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations. Support production schedules while maintaining compliance with safety, OSHA, customer, and aerospace quality standards. Requirements: Aircraft painting or aerospace painting experience required. Experience operating industrial spray guns and paint application equipment. Ability to prepare, mask, prime, and paint aircraft structures and components. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Ability to distinguish colors, shades, and surface finishes with a high level of accuracy. Ability to work from elevated platforms, lifts, scaffolding, and ladders. Must be willing and able to work any shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
