Role We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to residents in our subacute rehabilitation unit, helping them regain communication skills, improve swallowing function, and enhance their overall quality of life. Responsibilities Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of need. Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to each resident's specific goals and challenges. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide therapeutic interventions including speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive exercises to improve functional communication and overall quality of life. Patient Education: Educate residents and their families about speech and swallowing disorders, treatment strategies, and techniques to promote effective communication and safe swallowing. Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to deliver comprehensive care for each patient. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Qualifications Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida. Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
