Description

• Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient environments and create customized treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy techniques aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes
• Provide guidance to patients and their families regarding therapeutic goals, discharge procedures, and home exercise routines
• Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to facility policies and regulations
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive care for patients

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Preferred: CPR certification
• Specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are welcomed but not required

Skills

• Prior experience is strongly preferred
